    The audience at VI Awareness Training in Edinburgh 2016

    This free seminar is aimed at:

    • Mainstream teachers and support staff who support a blind or partially sighted child in their class.  

    The day will cover:

    • Presentations on the impact of vision impairment on children and young people, including the educational challenges that particular conditions bring as well as consideration of social and emotional issues.
    • Practical activities including working with magnifiers, large print and Braille, iPads, mobility issues and adapting materials.

    There will be opportunities for follow up activities and professional dialogue online on the Learning Hub website after the event.

    This free seminar is running on the following dates:

    Thursday 3 October, @ TouchBase, Glasgow, 9:30am - 15:30pm
    Wednesday 30 October, @ Best Western Palace Hotel and Spa, Inverness, 9:30am - 15:30pm

    Morning coffee and lunch will be provided.
